PASTORAL CARE POLICY CHANGES
DivineSaviorHospital will no longer make patient information available for pastors or churches at the front desk. There are only two ways that pastors and churches will have information on those in the hospital:
1)If patients and/or families sign a "waver form" which enables the Pastoral Care Staff of Divine Savior to contact the church office or the pastor
2)If the patient or family contacts the church office or pastor directly.
If you or a family member do not specifically inform the Divine Savior staff that you want the church office or the Pastor to be notified, no notification will be made.
If you have questions, please contact Pastor Dave.

"BREESE FUND FOR THE NEEDY"
Over 30 years ago, the Llewelyn Breese Fund for the Needy was established with a bequest. The will specified that the fund ".. shall be held in trust and used for the benefit of any underprivileged children of the church."
The administration of this fund is entrusted to Elders Jane Considine and Jim Armson, who have been appointed by the Session, along with the Pastor Dave, who serves as the Chairperson.
If you are in need or have a suggestion of someone from the church who may need assistance of this type, please contact a committee member. All contacts are held in strictest confidence.

UPCOMING COMMUNION SCHEDULE
You are encouraged to take time before each scheduled Communion to reflect on the meaning of the Lord's Supper for you, for PPC and for the world.
The "Directory for Worship" notes that "in preparing to receive Christ in this Sacrament, the believer is to confess sin and brokenness, to seek reconciliation with God and neighbor, and to trust in Jesus Christ for cleansing and renewal."
As Presbyterians, we believe that coming to the Lord's Table is not a right, but a privilege given to those who come in faith, repentance and love –
the gifts of God for the people of God

INTERESTED IN "HOME COMMUNION?"
The Deacons, with Pastor Dave, want to be sure that those who are unable to attend worship, and especially those who are not able to share in those Celebrations of the Lord Supper, have the opportunity to have Communion. We do not want anyone to miss out!
If you are homebound (even temporarily) and would like to be included on a list for Home Communion, please contact the Church Office with your name and phone number.

Mission Trip Variety Show
"AND WHAT A SHOW IT WAS..."
PPC's "Variety" show was certainly that - a show of the variety of talents in our church community.
We began the evening with a delicious meal prepared by the "mission trippers" and their families. Then we moved on to the entertainment.
Brittany ballard was our "hostess" for the evening and did a gread job of leading us throught the many acts.
The "variety" of acts included: the Roundy family (with a take-orff on "Hee Haw"); the Bell Choir; Samantha Ballard's piano solo; Sarah Hankins and dad with a vocal solo; Bruce Gerner telling jokes; Andrew Scharfe amazed us with magic tricks; Nick Hankins and dad with a drum and trumpet duet; Maria Scharfe with a vocal solo; Cordy Connor with a rousing rendition of the "12th Street Rag;" PPC's own Chancel Choir; Pastor Dave with guitar and vocal; Brad Macfarlane and Cordy with a euphonium and piano jazz piece; Fred and Judy Taylor (accompanied by Cordy) with a vocal duet; Pam and Alyssa Crossley shared a wonderful dramatic reading with piano accompaniment; Sandi Walker reminded us of the need for laughter in our lives; and we concluded with a barbershop quartet of Bruce Gerner, Fred Taylor, Tim Hoversten, and Pastor Dave).
This was a wonderful night of food, entertainment and fellowship.
The "mission trippers" would like to thank you all who shared their talents and to all who came to eat and listen, as they raised funds for the mission trips to New Orleans and Duluth this summer.
